Police appeal for information following a serious injury collision in Newton Abbot

Police are investigating a road traffic collision in Newton Abbot are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Officers were called at approximately 10.35am on Sunday 10 March to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a Toyota Yaris car on Highweek Village, in Highweek, Newton Abbot.

As a result of the collision a 73-year-old woman suffered what are believed to be life-changing injuries and was taken to Torbay Hospital.

The road was closed whilst officers from the Roads Policing Unit examined the scene and obtained evidence.
