Police are seeking witnesses after a fatal collision in Paignton. The incident occurred at 7pm on 5 February on Southfield Avenue, involving a pedal cycle and a van. Witnesses are urged to come forward.
Police are appealing for witness and information following a fatal road traffic collision in Paignton.
Officers were called at around 7pm on Wednesday 5 February to Southfield Avenue after it was reported that a collision had taken place involving a pedal cycle and a van.
Sadly, the cyclist, a local man in his 60s, passed away as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.
A local man in his 70s has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at a collision. He remains in police custody at this time.
The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene.
