Councillor Jackie Thomas, Cabinet Member for Culture, Tourism & Events and Corporate Services said: “The Torbay Lottery continues to be a great initiative and we are so pleased to be able to support so many local good causes and community groups in this way.  We really value the work that our local groups undertake supporting our children, young and older people and those with disabilities, to encourage them to be more active and manage their health and wellbeing, particularly those who have been most impacted by the cost of living crisis.  To date we have given out over £91,100 in funding from the Small Grants Fund.”

“We are always looking for new local groups to join the lottery and benefit from monthly income generated through ticket sales as well as through the Small Grants Fund which is opened at the start of each year for local groups to bid for up to £2,000 towards the cost of specific items. To sign up visit the Torbay Lottery website.”

The Torbay Lottery is a council initiative, empowering local groups to generate vital funds in a fun and effective way, while enabling players to support the causes they care about the most.

In total, 148 causes are currently signed up and the Torbay Lottery has raised over £221,600.
