Following the resignation of a Dawlish Town Councillor, a casual vacancy has been created on the Town Council. As there were insufficient requests for an election to fill the position, the Town Council will now proceed with a co-option process to select a new Councillor. The co-option procedure allows for local residents who meet the eligibility criteria to apply and potentially fill the vacant seat.
Interested individuals are invited to put themselves forward by completing the application and eligibility forms, which are available from the Town Clerk. The completed forms must be submitted to Andrew McKenzie, the Town Clerk, at Dawlish Town Council, Old Town Street, Dawlish, EX7 9AP, or by email to andrew.mckenzie@dawlish.gov.uk no later than noon on Tuesday, 25 March 2025.
