Residents in Teignmouth and Dawlish are being urged to remain vigilant following a series of recent overnight burglaries and vehicle thefts. According to the local neighbourhood policing team, offenders have gained access to homes to steal items and subsequently stolen vehicles.

Police are encouraging the public to report any suspicious activity immediately and to take precautions, such as ensuring vehicles are securely locked overnight and double-checking that all doors and windows to properties are secure.

Efforts are underway to apprehend those responsible, with officers increasing high-visibility patrols in areas identified as higher risk.

Residents are reminded to stay alert and support the police in keeping the community safe.
