Tristan Dignam from Exmouth Amateur Boxing Club won the Western Counties Junior Final in the 66-70 Kgs category at Norton Radstock. Tristan boxed a very tough opponent Bradley Watts from Sydenham ABC after three hard rounds winning on a unanimous decision.
On Sunday 5th March Tristan Dignam won the Western Counties Junior Final in the 66-70 Kgs category at Norton Radstock. Tristan boxed a very tough opponent (Bradley Watts Sydenham ABC) but came out on top after three hard rounds winning on a unanimous decision. He’s now through to the pre- quarter finals when the Western Counties champion Tristan meets the Southern Counties Champion in Sandwich, Kent on the 11th March 2023.
Tristan is one of a large number of quality boxers at the club, and the membership continues to grow. The club has a long-standing reputation in the community as a welcoming and inclusive environment as well as the high-quality coaching provided by the club’s six coaches.
This weekend also saw our undefeated heavyweight boxer, Jamie Cardwell, put his record on the line at Torbay’s show on Saturday, 4th March. However, as the opponent couldn’t make the weigh his coach decided not to allow hm to box. Jamie was disappointed, but his coach is already looking to match him next weekend.
