In the South West One Division Sidmouth travelled up the M5 on Friday evening to play under the North Petherton lights and came away with a well deserved 24-14 victory but on Saturday Crediton narrowly lost 20-17 to Chew Valley at Blagdon.
In the Western Counties League Teignmouth won at Paigntons Queens Park ground by 24 points to 14 but winless Honiton were beaten once again at home to league leaders Wadebridge Camels 31-10 and Tiverton lost at Rackerhayes by 39- 22 to Newton Abbot.
Finally In the Devon and Cornwall Division Withycombe were well beaten 41-17 at Cornish side Saltash, Topsham lost their top spot when they went down 26-19 at new leaders Pirates Amateurs but improving Cullompton had a runaway victory at bottom club Hayle with a 79-12 thrashing.
