A comprehensive round up of this weekends local rugby action.

In local rugby on Saturday in the Regional one south west after two recent defeats Exmouth Cockles got back to winning form with a comprehensive victory over fellow seasiders Brixham at Anstey Park by 45 points to 22. While in Regional two Sidmouth lost their top spot when they were beaten 35-17 by new league leaders Wadebridge Camels at Egloshayle.  Crediton  had a narrow 24-22 home win over visitors Cullompton at Exhibition road and Teignmouth beat Truro away in a close fought game 19-14, while Topsham had the better of a high scoring encounter with a 51 points to 48 victory at Somerset side Wellington.

In Counties one Western West Tiverton beat visiting Pirates Amateurs by just one point winning 15-14 at Bolham Road. While in Counties two Devon Withycombe easily beat bottom club Ivybridge second fifteen cruising to a 52-10 victory. Exeter Saracens overwhelmed visiting Plymouth side OPMs 51-12 at the Exhibition ground with Honiton beating west Devon side North Tawton 42-10 at Allhallows.

Finally in Counties Devon north and east Exeter Athletic narrowly lost 36-34 to Newton Abbot second fifteen at Rackerhays but New Cross beat Cullompton reserves 26-22 at Stafford Park with Topsham II comfortable winners over Okehampton 2s at the Bonfire field by 41 points to 5.
