A round up of all of this weekends local rugby action
In local rugby on Saturday In the Regional one south west division after last weeks confidence victory over visitors Brixham Exmouth Cockels failed to maintain their winning form and were beaten 21-10 at third placed Chew Valley .
In the Regional two league in the top v bottom clash Sidmouth convincingly beat struggling Burnham on Sea away by 38 points to 5 to keep up their promotion hopes this season . Second placed Crediton kept up their chase for top spot with a comfortable victory over Newton Abbot by 43-26 at Exhibition road while Topsham narrowly lost in Cornwall to Truro by 29 points to 27 , Teignmouth were also beaten in the Dutchy at Wadebridge Camels 33-16 and Cullompton went down by 10 points to 5 in a low scoring game at Wellington.
In Counties one western west Tiverton kept up the pressure for promotion with an excellent victory over league leaders Plymstock Albion Oaks winning 44-0 at Bolham road while in Counties two Devon Honiton were held to a 5 points all draw at Allhallows by Plymouth side OPMS, Exeter Saracens thrashed visitors Plymouth Arguam 61-28 at the Exhibition fields but Withycombe were comprehensively beat 33-13 by Devonport Services second fifteen at the Rectory.
Finally in Counties three Devon north and east Exeter Athletic narrowly lost to Sidmouth Quins 22-20 at the Blackmore field and in the local derby New Cross were surprisingly hammered 67- 0 by Newton Abbot reserves at Rackerhays.
