In local football on Saturday in the Southern league one south Exmouth Town failed to improve their league position when they were held to a 2 all draw by visitors Malvern Town at Southern road .In a game where both sides had plenty of scoring chances Tom Bath and Nelson Isequan gave Exmouth the lead at half time but the visitors levelled soon after the break .
In the Peninsula league east Cullompton Rangers remain top after a 2-1 victory at Bovey Tracey, Sidmouth Town go second with a 2-0 win over north Devon visitors Torridgeside FC at Manstone lane , Honiton Town comfortably beat Torrington 3-0 at Mountbatten park, Newton Abbot Spurs easily beat bottom of the league Middlezoy Rovers 3 -0 in Somerset but struggling Axminster Town lost 3-0 to Stroke Gabriel at Tigers Way and Crediton Utd went down 6-3 at St Mary's home of Bridport fc .
In the F A Vase Okehampton Argyle are through to the next round after a 2-0 victory over visiting Bristol side Thornbury at Simmons park and Brixham Utd are also through after beating Plymouth side Elburton Villa 3-0 at Wall park.
In the A & S Devon league, leaders Alphington remain top after a narrow 1-0 victory over Thorverton FC at Church road, Topsham Town beat visiting Beer Albion 3-1 at the Coronation ground, Ottery St Mary won 4-2 at Plymstock Utd but Budleigh Salterton went down 2-1 at Ipplepen Athletic
