A round up of all this weekends football games
In local football on Saturday, in the Southern League One South Exmouth Town gave their chances of avoiding relegation a massive boost with a well deserved 3-0 win at Bemerton Heath Harlequins. After a scoreless first half Town upped the pace and returned home with three valuable points with Tom Bath netting twice after Callum Shipton gave them the lead.
In the Peninsula League East on Friday night Okehampton Argyle beat visiting Crediton Utd 3 -1 at Simmons Park while on Saturday Axminster Town convincing beat lowly Bishops Lydeard 7-0 at Tigers Way, Newton Abbot Spurs won 3-2 at home to Cullompton Rangers and Teignmouth FC surprisingly beat league leaders Ivybridge Town at Coombe Valley.
In the A &S Devon League Beer Albion had a comfortable victory over visitors Elmore Utd at Stovar Long Lane, Budleigh Salterton were held to a 4 all goal draw at Plymstock Utd but Ottery St Mary lost heavy at Plymouth University side Marjons by 5 goals to 1 and Topsham Town were beaten 2-1 by Ipplepen Athletic at the Coronation Ground.
In the Devon and Exeter Premier League, Upottery FC lost 3-0 at North Devon side Lapford FC while in Division One Dawlish Utd had to settle for a 2 all draw with visitors Lympstone Utd at the Leisure Centre but East Budleigh won 8-4 in a high scoring game at Newton St Cyres by Newtown Second Eleven.
In Division Two Seaton Town lost 2-0 away to Feniton FC but Exmouth Spartans move into the next round of the Sleeman Cup with a 5 goals to 2 victory at East Budleigh Reserves and finally in Division 6 Otterton FC convincingly beat Witheridge Second Eleven 6-1 at Stantyway but Ex Dons went down 2-1 at North Devon side Bampton FC.
