A round up of all this weekends football games
In local football on Saturday in the Southern League One South Exmouth Town continued their winning streak with a deserved 2-1 victory over visiting Melksham Town at Southern Road and gained 3 more valuable points in their efforts to avoid relegation, with goals in each half from Ben Steer and a penalty in the second half from Joe Belsten it gave Town their all important victory.
In the Peninsula League East bottom club Dartmouth Utd had a convincing 4-1 victory over visitors Bishops Lydeard at Townstal and lowly Stoke Gabriel held league leaders Ivybridge Town to a 1 all draw at Churchward while in the A & S Devon League Topsham Town were beaten 3-2 in north devon by Appledore FC, Beer Albion surprisingly lost 3-1 to lowly Ipplepen Athletic at Stovar Long Lane but Budleigh Salterton won 3-0 over University side Plymouth Marjons at Greenway Lane.
Finally in the Devon and Exeter Premier League Colyton FC were well beaten 6-0 by visiting Alphington at Axe Valley , in Division One Dawlish Utd were thumped 11-1 by West Devon side Hatherleigh FC at the leisure centre.
In Division Two Seaton Town lost 2-0 to Exeter side Central FC away while Exmouth Spartans were overwhelmed by 12 goals to 1 by Exeter University 4th Eleven at the Commons Ground and lastly Axmouth Utd lost 6-1 at Exeter Royals in Division Six.
