In the first half play was dominated by strong defences from both sides and half time came with the scores locked at 0-0 but after the break with a couple of positional tweeks Exmouth started to take control and it was no surprise to the 450 plus crowd that they took the lead on 63mins with a great strike from Ben Steer in his 100th appearance for Town, which was soon followed by one from Jordan Harris giving them a 2-0 boosting victory to travel back to Devon with.
Next up is the Boxing Day visit of bottom club Bridport to Southern Road for an 11 am kick off.
Town Reserves lost at home to North Molton 4-1 at Southern Road in the DFL and they now have a break until Jan 8th.
