In local football on Saturday Exmouth Town had a comfortable victory over Ashton & Blackwell by 4 goals to nil at Southern Road. Goals from Mark Lever and Arron Denny put them 2-0 up at half time and with Lever getting his second and Jordan Harris completed the scoring after the break Town were home and dry.
In the Peninsula league east Axminster town beat bottom of the league Stoke Gabriel 4-0 at Tiger way, Elmore won 1-0 at home to visiting Holsworthy and Cullompton Rangers were 2-1 winner's at University side Plymouth Marjons but Sidmouth town's poor run of form continued with a 7-0 hammering at Newton Abbot spurs while Honiton town faired better with a 2-1 victory at Torridgeside.
In the Devon leagues local derby game ,Budleigh Salterton beat rivals Exmouth Town reserves by 3 goals to 2 at Greenway lane.
In the Joma Devon & Exeter leagues premier division leaders Thorverton put 7 unanswered goals past Dawlish Utd while Beer Albion lost 2-1 to Lapford at Furzebreak.
In division one Lympstone Utd remain bottom after a 5-3 defeat by visiting Upottery but in division 2 Exmouth Spartans had a 2-0 victory over Dunkeswell Utd at the Commons grounds and Exmouth Rovers also won 3-2 over Hatherleigh reserves on the same ground's.
