The weather was a bit kinder to our local football teams this weekend. Here is a round up of how they got on.
In local football on Saturday in the Southern league one south division Exmouth Town were made to wait once again for their first home win when a late equaliser earned visitors Westbury Utd a 1 all draw at Southern Road. After taking a first half lead with a goal from new boy Bolt, Town were reduced to 10 men in the second half allowing the visitors to level and return home with a point .
In the Peninsula league east there were a few postponements but Honiton Town were well beaten at Stoke Gabriel and Torbay police by 4 goals to 1 and Teignmouth afc went down 5-1 at Bovey Tracy's Mill Marsh Park.
In the A&S Devon league Topsham Town were beaten 3-1 by visitors Beer Albion at the Coronation ground and Ottery St Mary lost by the same score going down 3-1 at Thorverton.
In the Devon Cup Budleigh Salterton went through to the next round with a 3 goal to 1 victory over Plymouth side Windmill fc at Greenway Lane .
In the Devon and Exeter league premier division Colyton fc beat Elmore Utd reserves 3-1 at Horsdon park while in the first division East Budleigh hammered Dawlish Utd away 8-1 at the leasure centre .Finally in division 2 ,Seaton Town lost 3-2 at home to visitors South Zeal Utd .
