A look at this weekends local football results
In local football on Saturday in the Southern league one south after last week's defeat at Falmouth Exmouth failed to get back to winning form when they were beaten 3-1 at Southern road by mid table Larkhall Athletic in front of a good crowd of 370.
In the Peninsula league east all our local clubs were involved in W P league cup games. Bottom of the league Axminster Town were well beaten 9-1 by Newquay FC at Tigers Way, Okehampton Argyle won 4-2 on penalties at Cornish side Callington, Crediton Utd go into the next round with a 5-0 victory over St Day at Lord's Meadow, Honiton Town are also through winning 3-1 at Dobwalls afc, Plymouth side Elburton Villa beat Sidmouth Town 4-2 at Hayes road, Cullompton Rangers won 3-2 at west Devon side Holsworthy's Upcott field , Newton Abbot Spurs beat visiting Millbrook Utd 3-1 Marsh lane but Bovey Tracey were knocked out 2-0 at Torridgeside fc at Donnicroft field's.
In the A&S Devon league Beer Albion drew 1 all with Topsham Town at Stover lane , Elmore Utd beat visiting Budleigh Salterton 3-1 at Horsdon park, Ottery St Mary overcame Exeter University 2-0 at Washbrook Meadow and league leaders Alphington won 4-1 at Plymouth Marjons .
In the Devon and Exeter premier league Upottery FC lost 4-2 at Sidmouth Town reserves at Manstone lane but Clyst Valley won 2-1 against Crediton Utd second eleven at Winslade park. In division one East Budleigh played out a 3 all draw at Exeter side Central FC at King George playing fields. In the third division Tipton St John beat University 5th eleven 2-1 at the playing fields while finally in division 7 Axmouth Utd were well beaten 6-0 by Heavitree Utd reserves at Roman road.
