Once again our local football fixtures were disrupted on Saturday this time due to frozen pitches
Exmouth Town home game with Bishops Cleeve was one of those affected by the weather. In the Peninsula league east just to matches survived with Axminster Town loosing heavily at league leaders Ivybridge Town by 6 goals to 0 at Erme park and Cullompton Rangers were held to a 1 all draw by Bovey Tracey at Speeds Meadow.
Games faired better in the A&S Devon league with Budleigh Salterton having a great 7 -0 victory at Barnstaple Town reserves, Topsham Town had the better of a 7 goal thriller at Ottery St Mary winning 4-3 at Washbrook Meadow but Beer Albion were held to a 0-0 draw by visiting Bere Alston Utd.
In the Devon and Exeter premier league Colyton FC enjoyed a 3-0 win at Clyst Valley but Upottery fc were held to a 3 all draw at Exeter university seconds . In the first division Lympstone Utd lost 3-1 at the Marine camp to Wellington reserves Dawlish Utd were thrashed 7-0 at home to Ottery St Mary second eleven but East Budleigh managed a 1 all draw at St Martin's while in the Sleeman Cup Exmouth Spartans progress to the next round with a 5-2 victory at Dorset side Lyme Regis reserves.
Finally in division 6 Ex Dons lost by 3 goals to 2 against Cheriton Fitzpaine seconds at the Commons ground.
