In local football on Saturday in the Southern league one south Exmouth Towns wait for their first home win of the season goes on after they were beaten 3-2 at Southern Road by visiting Cribbs fc. Once again Town made the perfect start with an early goal from Tom Bath but failed to take their chances and remain firmly rooted to the bottom of the table.
In the Peninsula league east Sidmouth Town produced the result of the day taking league leaders Ivybridge Towns unbeaten record away with a 3-2 victory at Manstone Lane, Cullompton Rangers narrowly beat visitors Torridgeside fc 1-0 at Speed's Meadow but Honiton Town easily accounted for Bishops Lydeard with a 4-1 victory at the Memorial ground. Axminster Town had to settle for a 1 all draw at Bovey Tracey , Teignmouth afc lost 3-1 in north devon to Torrington afc but Crediton Utd convincingly beat Stoke Gabriel and Torbay police 4-1 at Churchward memorial ground .
In the A&S Devon league Budleigh Salterton had a good 3-1 victory at Thorverton while Topsham Town were held to a scoreless draw with Elmore Utd at Horsdon park but Beer Albions game at the University was abandoned with the scores at 3 all .
Finally in the Devon and Exeter leagues premier division Colyton fc beat Sandford 2-1 in close fought game at the Peace Memorial ground but Upottery were held to a 1 all draw at Glebe Park .
In the first division Lympstone Utd had a narrow 4-3 over Ottery St Mary reserves at Washbrook Meadow while East Budleigh lost 2-1 to Teignmouth afc second eleven at Coombe Valley and in division two Exmouth Spartans lost 2-0 to visitors Beer Albion reserves at the Commons ground and Tipton St John were well beaten at home to University 4th team.
Lastly in the sixth division Ex Don's lost to Exeter side Beacon Knights 2-1 away and Axmouth Utd were beaten 3-2 at Witheridge second eleven but Otterton fc progress to the next round of the Express Cup with a 3-1 victory over Awliscombe at Greenway Lane
