In local cricket on Saturday in the Devon Premier Division Exmouth continued their recent run of good form with a comfortable 86 run victory over Heathcoat at the Maer, Sidmouth had an easy 6 wicket win over visiting Paignton at the Fortfield Ground and Exeter beat bottom club Plympton away with a convincing 9 wicket victory.
In the A Division Torquay/Kingskerswell easily beat home side Abbotskerswell by 98 runs.
In Division B Budleigh Salterton are still trying to return to winning form and were beaten again, this time by Cullompton going down by 8 wickets at the Holt, Torquay side Barton narrowly lost in North Devon to Bideford/Westward Ho by just 7 runs while Teignmouth/Shaldon beat Clyst St George by 8 wickets at the Bohea Field.
In the C Division East Alphington/Countess Wear had massive 286 run victory over Exeter Second Eleven at the County Ground, Ottery St Mary beat visitors Sidmouth Seconds by 3 wickets at Strawberry Lane and Seaton won easily at Uplyme/Lyme Regis by 9 Wick.
Finally in the D Division East Upottery convincingly beat Barnstaple/Pilton by 117 runs in North Devon, Topsham St James had a easy 9 wicket victory over Ottery St Mary Second Eleven at the University Ground and Whimple beat Thorverton Seconds away 132 runs.
