In the A Division Exmouth increased their lead at the top beating Torquay by 54 runs at the Recreation Ground. Electing to bat first the Mear side scored 214 all out once again thanks mainly to a knock of 71 from opener Jason Nielmand.
In the local Tolchard Devon Cricket League on Saturday in the Premier Division Sidmouth were narrowly beaten at Instow by North Devon loosing by just 9 runs.
Set a target of 234 by the home side they fell short scoring 225 for 8 when they ran out of overs.

Batting first they reached 240 for 9 in their 50 overs and then bowled the visitors out for 210 with 3 overs remaining.
In Division B Clyst St George took advantage of home ground beating visitors Ivybridge at the Bohea field by 6 wickets.
Chasing a score of 250 they reached their target with the loss of just 4 wickets while Cullompton also won with a convincing 7 wicket victory at West Devon side Bridestowe, bowling the home side out for 154 they reached it easily with the loss of just 3 wickets.
Finally in Division C East Ottery St Mary beat visitors Heathcoat Second Eleven by 44 runs while Upottery went down by 21 runs beaten by Exmouth Second's at the Mear.
