A full round up of local cricket results from this weekend
n local cricket on Saturday in the Devon premier league Exmouth moved up to 4th place after a comfortable victory by 138 runs over visiting Cornwood at the Maer, Sidmouth easily beat bottom club Plympton by 8 wickets at the Fortfield ground and Paignton convincingly won by 120 runs over visitors Bovey Tracey at Queens park but Exeter lost to second placed Bradninch/ Kentisbeare by 2 wickets at the County ground .
In the A division Torquay/ Kingskerswell had a comprehensive 9 wicket victory over Kilmington at the recreation ground and move up the second place but Abbotskerswell were well beaten at West Devon side Hatherleigh by 6 wickets at their Littlewoods lane ground.
In the B division Torquay side Barton beat visiting Budleigh Salterton by 148 runs at Cricketfield lane, Clyst St George narrowly lost to North Devon side Bideford/ Westward Ho! by 7 runs at the Bohea field, Teignmouth/ Shaldon also lost at home by 42 runs at Hazeldown to Cullompton but Stoke Gabriel beat home side Ipplepen by 4 wickets at Moor road.
In division C east league leaders Alphington/Countess Wear had a 6 wicket victory over Heathcoat second eleven at the Chronicles and Seaton had a home win over Exmouth second's by 42 runs.
Finally in division D east new league leaders Upottery won by 102 runs at neighbours Ottery St Mary second eleven at Strawberry lane, Topsham St James lost at home to Shobrooke park by 2 wickets at the University ground while Whimple were beaten by 55 runs at Bradninch/ Kentisbeare seconds.
