Residents in the city are being urged to share their views about the services provided by the Council and how resources should be prioritised in the future.
The Budget and Corporate Plan consultation is open for eight weeks until 9 January, and all residents are encouraged to take part by completing an online survey.
The Council is committed to listening to and engaging with residents to continuously improve service provision and inform decision-making.
It is asking residents to provide feedback on two important issues – the Council’s Budget from April 2025 until the end of March 2026, and the city’s key priorities for the years ahead.
The first part of the consultation asks for feedback on how the Council can make best use of its resources to set a balanced budget in the financial year 2025/2026.
The second part of the consultation asks residents to have their say on the Council’s key priorities for the future, which will be set out in its emerging new Corporate Plan.
Feedback on what is most important will help councillors make decisions both on the Council’s short-term spending plans and its longer-term priorities.
Council Leader Phil Bialyk said: “We’re committed to listening to our residents and this consultation is an important way for people to make their voices heard on the future of our city.
“Every voice matters, and the responses we receive will help to ensure decisions made by the Council reflect the needs of everyone in Exeter.”
Chief Executive Bindu Arjoon said: “Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do, and it is very important that we get as much feedback as possible in this consultation to help shape the future delivery of our services in Exeter.”
The survey can be completed online at exeter.gov.uk/budgetconsultation and should take no more than 10 minutes.
If anyone requires help completing the survey they should drop-in to the Council’s Customer Service Centre in Paris Street between 9am and 2pm, or alternatively call 01392 277888 and choose option 8.
