Once again, Exmouth in Bloom are delighted to report that they have had yet another extremely successful year.
Firstly, in the St Bridget’s Cup class for large towns, not only were they awarded GOLD, but they also won the CUP.
Next, they were awarded the London & Manchester Trophy for outstanding contribution to the environment, specifically for the Tiny Forest Project.
Then they won the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England Environmental Award for the Best Environmental Project again for the Tiny Forest Project ( this forest is in the Carter Avenue Playing Fields, on the far side backing onto Exmouth Town Football Club, if you would like to visit it.)
The Bicton Inn was awarded 2nd place in the Sean Cregan Trophy for the Best Pub display.
Phoebe Ireland from 4th Withycombe Brownies won Highly Commended in the Children’s Picture Competition, judged by Lady Emma Fellowes.
In addition, they were nominated in the following categories – Art in the Landscape for the Murals in Exmouth and the Youth award for Isolation Creation, Over the Garden Fence.
Lastly and most importantly, they were awarded for the second time in 3years , The Sponsors Trophy for the Most Meritorious entry in the South West (The Best in the West!)
All in all, a very satisfying list of successes!
However, it goes without saying that none of the above would have been achieved without the help and support of all of you, and I would like to thank each and every one of you most sincerely for all your hard work and efforts over the past year.
