Residents in Exmouth are being urged to carefully check their £20 notes after a forged bill was discovered yesterday.

The counterfeit note is missing several key security features, including the picture of King Charles on the back, the holographic patterns around the towers, and the "£20" engravings from the small window on the front bottom right.

Additionally, the words "Twenty" and "Pounds" do not change when the note is moved, a feature found in genuine currency.

If you come across any suspicious £20 notes, it's advised to report them to local authorities immediately.

Stay vigilant and ensure your money is genuine.
