• Night-time road closures near the Devon Hotel

  A number of night-time road closures will take place on the A379 and Bad Homburg Way, near the Devon Hotel Roundabout, Exeter, in December and early January.

  City councillors had already said no to a plan from Tillian Homes for fields off Exwick Lane, but a government planning inspector overruled them in 2022. Now the company has been given the go-ahead to start building.

• Car park plan approved for country park site

  A 16-space car park has been approved in the Clyst Valley Regional Park, which will double in size over 25 years. The Station Road site includes footpaths and a bike shelter. Despite flood zone concerns, the Environment Agency backed the plan.
