Friends of the River Exe will be taking part in a nationwide paddle out to raise concerns over water pollution in the nations waterways.
The Paddle-Out is a colourful, fun event with participants being urged to dress-up with pollution-themed props and also colourful placards. This is the first time a Paddle-Out event has been held in Exmouth and will take place on Saturday 18th May Starting at Sideshore from 2.30pm for a 3pm start.
The On the day they will be accompanied by the uplifting XR Devon Drummers who will lead the swimmers down to the swimming area of the beach, while the paddlers take to the water.
Organisers say Exmouth feels the obvious choice to hold a Paddle-Out event following the recent frequent sewage discharges experienced in the whole catchment area this winter.
