Exmouth Tourist Information, managed by Exmouth Town Council, is proud to announce that it has won BRONZE in the 2024 Devon Tourism Awards. This prestigious award recognizes the exceptional efforts of the team, including 15 dedicated volunteers, who work tirelessly to promote Exmouth as a top destination for visitors.
The awards ceremony, which took place in Plymouth at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Thursday 21 November, celebrated the best in Devon’s tourism sector. Despite challenging weather conditions, including heavy snow that made travel difficult for many businesses, Rons Boatman, Tourism Officer, and Lisa Bowman, Town Clerk, were delighted to attend the event and represent Exmouth Tourist Information and the Council.
“We are incredibly proud to receive this award, which is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our team,” said Rons Boatman, Tourism Officer for Exmouth Town Council. “This achievement highlights Exmouth’s growing reputation as a must-visit destination, and we’re excited to continue our work in 2025 and beyond.”
Lisa Bowman, Town Clerk for Exmouth Town Council, added, “This recognition is a great achievement for Exmouth and highlights the invaluable role of our volunteers in ensuring the Tourist Information Centre continues to deliver exceptional service to visitors. We are delighted that their efforts have been acknowledged, and this award is a fantastic endorsement of the work Exmouth Town Council and our team do to promote the town.”
