Community groups and organisations in Exeter are being invited to apply for funding and help make the city an even better place to live in.
The City Council has relaunched its ward grants programme, giving local community groups and organisations a chance to apply for up to £350 funding.
The aim of the initiative is to support community groups and organisations to work on local projects that help make a difference in Exeter.
The Exeter Grants Programme aims to support groups and organisations to use their passion, skills, experience and knowledge to work together to make a difference in their community and create change by supporting projects that:
- Help people to help themselves and each other
- Build on the strengths of people and communities
- Connect people and organisations within and across communities
The Exeter Grants Programme will support projects that have a focus on one or more of the Council’s eight priority themes which are to:
- Address Inequalities
- Improve Health and Wellbeing
- Get People Active
- Support Communities Working Together to Address Local Needs
- Encourage Volunteering
- Improve Where We Live
- Support community-based arts and cultural activities
- Promote Digital Inclusion
Community groups can apply for a ward grant to support a community project that meets one of the eight priorities. Grants are for up to £350.
