Councillor Joe Whibley was elected as Mayor of Exmouth at the recent Annual Town Council Meeting
At the Annual Town Council meeting, held on 13th May 2024, Councillor Joe Whibley was elected as Chairman and Mayor of Exmouth Town Council for the coming municipal year. Councillor Steve Gazzard was elected as Vice Chairman / Deputy Mayor. Councillor Joe Whibley represents Town Ward and has served as the Chair of the Town Council’s Planning Committee for the last twelve months.
Councillor Whibley said: “I am delighted to have been asked to take on the role of Mayor and Chairman of the Town Council and I would like to thank Councillor Olly Davey for doing a great job last year. I am looking forward to representing the Town.”
The Annual Town Council meeting also included a review of the terms of reference and delegation arrangements for the Council’s committees and working parties, and of the Council’s representation on outside bodies.
