Police investigating a road traffic collision on the A361 near Tiverton on Sunday 14 May are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a blue Renault Traffic van, a white Nissan Qashqai and a red Honda motorcycle at around 12.55pm on the A361 at Rackenford, Tiverton.
As a result of the collision, the motorcycle rider, a man in his 40s, suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene. Once a forensic investigation had been conducted, the road was re-opened at around 7.47.40pm
A 27-year-old man from South Molton was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving while under the influence of drugs. He was released on police bail pending further enquiries, to return on Friday 11 August.
