Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal crash on the A30 at Whiddon Down yesterday (15 October). A woman died following a collision between a Scania lorry and a silver Kia Ceed around 10pm.
Officers are appealing for witnesses and footage following a fatal collision on the A30 at Whiddon Down in which one woman died.
Police, fire and ambulance were called around 10pm on Tuesday 15 October following the collision between a Scania lorry and a silver Kia Ceed on the eastbound carriageway.
The car passenger, a woman in her 40s from Helston, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The driver, a man in his 60s and also from Helston, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital by ambulance.
Police closed the A30 for an examination of the scene and for the vehicles to be recovered. Highways are currently on scene working to clear and reopen the road.
Officers are conducting enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. They would like to hear from anyone who may have captured the incident on dashcam footage.
