NHS bumper careers event returns: discover your future in healthcare!

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is excited to announce the return of its annual careers fair, offering an exciting glimpse into opportunities in Allied Health Professions, Pathology, and Pharmacy.

Whether you're a student deciding your future career, considering a career change, or a professional looking to return to practice after a break, this event offers something for everyone.

These events are perfect for anyone interested in a rewarding career in healthcare. Explore various roles that make a real difference in patients’ lives – whether it’s assisting with nutritional needs, preparing and dispensing medications, diagnosing illnesses through medical imaging such as x-ray and CT, or in our laboratories testing samples, as well as providing rehabilitation for speech, mobility, and eye movement issues.

Alison Brown, Future Careers and Widening Participation Advisor said: “If you’re passionate about science, enjoy solving problems, love working with technology, or are fascinated by how the human body works, and have a caring nature, there’s a role for you in the NHS. Whether you thrive on using data, diagnostics, or supporting patients directly, the NHS offers diverse career opportunities that can match your skills and interests.”

Attendees will have the chance to meet the teams, find out about the different roles, discover the career pathway options and qualifications required, see demonstrations, take a tour, learn about apprenticeships and sign-up for work experience.

There will also be the chance to speak with local colleges and universities about courses, with the National Careers Service and the Prince’s Trust also present at the Exeter event to provide guidance.

No booking is required – simply drop by the event on Saturday 12 October, between 9.30am and 12pm.
